The impetus for this experiment

Early in 2023 I went on a trip back to the country of my birth, Scotland to EDGE2023 Libraries Conference and to visit a number of libraries. My mum had died in 2022 and it was my first time back since. The trip was so rich and combined a bit of a pilgrimage and a research trip to see what bubbled up.

The short summary is that when I returned to New Zealand, I had clarity about what I wanted to do. I wanted to be of service in two areas I had experience of and was passionate about - Libraries and Empowering Women.

And so with the help of my amazing friend Zoe Sharp, I’m creating this repository. Somewhere to store ideas, conversations, make connections and generally experiment with these two areas. Let’s see how it goes!
